Islas by Neutra winner of Archiproducts Design Awards 2024

  The top has an organic shape, sharp and light, designed by fluid curves and taut arcs, while the base is monolithic, composed of marble volumes carved from solid and tapered metal wedges finely crafted by hand.

  This project is characterised by a perpetual play of duality: two paired pieces give life to the collection and different combinations. Two are the materials used: marble, NEUTRA's material of choice, and metal, precious and refined in its workmanship and finish. Two souls that gave rise to the shape: one more decorative, organic and spontaneous, the other more measured, rigorous, and minimalist. And finally, two brand identities that come together to perfection in this work: on the one hand the traditional vocation, of controlled and hand-finished craftsmanship, and on the other the technological research that accompanied its genesis, from design to production.
