Francesco Librizzi's elegant collection of light fittings

SETAREH. This is the name of the family of lighting fixtures that Francesco Librizzi, a young Sicilian architect based in Milan, has designed for Fontana Arte for the first time. Setareh was born out of the theme of giving body to light. The lamp consists of a sphere magically suspended within a slender metal structure. An interplay of masses and circular trajectories generates a balanced pattern of gravitational dynamics. The light emanating from the sphere spreads over the surrounding space and irradiates the frame. The reflections of the metal make the light field visible, the space influenced by the light, its aura. The result is a collection of luminaires, declined in table and pendant versions, of extraordinary poetic grace. Setareh takes on a new dimension: elongated with two and three light spheres, to work either singly or by multiplication. Its vocation is that of large spaces, double heights and architectures that can also accommodate large compositions of several elements.
